Kukui‘ula Hosts Festive Parade of Homes to Support Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i
Community invited to tour open houses on Dec. 18, donate to Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i and earn entry into a drawing for prizes

Po‘ipū, Hawai‘i – Kukui‘ula, a residential and resort community on Kauaʻi’s southern coast, invites the community to attend its Festive Parade of Homes to tour six custom-built homes within the master-planned community while supporting Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i. The open houses will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each house will have light refreshments, festive decor and a giveaway.
“We recognize the importance of strengthening the foundation of our community by addressing needs such as food scarcity,” said Trinette Kaui, Vice President of Land Assets and Community Relations, Brue Baukol Capital Partners Kaua‘i. “Together, we can help Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i with its mission of nourishing our Kaua‘i community today while working to end hunger tomorrow.”
Guests at the Parade of Homes may support Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i with food or monetary donations. For every monetary donation of $25 or more, guests will receive an entry to win one of six prizes, including a two-night stay at The Lodge at Kukui‘ula, a round of golf, and a treatment at The Hi‘ilani Spa.
“Too many families face the skipping meals to make ends meet, which is especially disheartening on an island as bountiful as Kaua‘i,” said Wes Perreira, Kaua‘i Director, Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i. “We are grateful to Kukui‘ula for hosting a food and fund drive and encouraging people to help bring relief to our community.”
According to Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i, an estimated 23% of Kaua‘i’s households are food insecure. Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i works with a network of more than 40 hunger-relief partners on the Garden Island to source and distribute food through a variety of nourishment programs, including those focused on serving Kaua‘i’s most vulnerable populations: our keiki and kūpuna. Last year, the organization distributed food for more than 1.5 million meals — a quarter of which was fresh, healthy produce.
