“Shelly embodies the spirit of Kukuiʻula, working tirelessly to support our employees, members and the broader Kauaʻi community,” said James Priestley, Vice President of Brue Baukol Capital Partners. “Allan’s promotion to Sous Chef recognizes his passion and commitment to culinary innovation, which continues to ensure we provide the very best in locally sourced food and beverage offerings.”

With 19 years of service to Kukuiʻula, Gerardo has played a central role in Kukuiʻula’s community initiatives and has provided professional office management support to ensure the success of Kukuiʻula’s development team. In her position, Gerardo manages Kukuiʻula’s philanthropic initiatives, including launching The Club at Kukuiʻula Community Benefit Fund and the employee Kōkua Fund and running the Kukuiʻula Development Charitable Program, which have contributed more than $1.1 million to the community to date. Gerardo is deeply ingrained in the community, serving on the board of directors for Kauai United Way as the Special Events Chair and leading numerous team volunteer events to support efforts like the Hawaiʻi Lodging and Tourism Association’s Kauaʻi Charity Walk and the Kōloa Plantation Days Parade. Prior to joining the Kukuiʻula team, Gerardo worked for the Sheraton Kauai Resort and Kawailoa Development.

“I’m blessed to be able to provide support for so many nonprofit organizations positively impacting Kaua‘i through our charitable programs,” said Gerardo. “I’m honored to continue serving our community and am grateful to BBCP for entrusting me with this important responsibility.”

Duldulao joined Kukui‘ula in 2016 as a Cook III, and upon honing his culinary skills moved up the ranks before this latest promotion to Sous Chef. As Sous Chef, Duldulao collaborates with Kukuiʻula’s Executive Chef on menu planning, event and banquet order execution and oversees day-to-day operations, including staff, inventory and supply management of food and beverage operations. Duldulao is a graduate of Kauaʻi Community College’s culinary program. Prior to joining Kukui‘ula, Duldualo worked at Brennecke’s Beach Broiler, Pomodoro Italian Restaurant and ran Kauaʻi Street Meats, a small local business serving huli huli chicken and grilled exotic meats. Outside of the kitchen, Duldulao is the boys’ varsity soccer head coach for Kauaʻi High School and a championship-winning director of coaching for Keahi Soccer Club.

“Kukuiʻula is committed to sourcing fresh, local ingredients for the benefit of those we serve,” said Duldulao. “I’m honored to leverage creativity, innovation and culinary flair to continue creating unforgettable dining experiences.”
